thermograms of a Makerbot Thing-O-Matic in action. The FLIR reported
values (~200F) are off considerably the ToM's measurements (~200C). No
attempt made to correct emissivity of the various materials, but still
interesting.

Since taking the other images, I've added a top, and now the printing
area is completely enclosed. The enclosure is just a little warmer, but
trapping the heat inside has to help with the drafts in my workspace.
